Rental car got towed ?

Three of my friends and I were drinking this weekend and were pulled over by the cops. My friend, who isn't listed as another driver on the rental car paperwork, is in jail for a DWI. Anyway, they towed the rental car. The rental car is from Milwaukee, and we drove to St. Paul for the weekend. I called the tow company, impound lot, and rental car company. The rental car company will have to send a rep to release the car. What kind of charges will I incur? What will happen next? The rental car company said they'll call me back.
