My car is in impound, can I buy it back at the auction if I let it go?

Sure you can. However, you will still owe the impound lot the money for the impound, the tow, and probably around $35 a day for storage. So you wont be getting a deal at all. My suggestion if to pay the fee/fines and get your car out that way.
