Have a towed car situation...?

So I Signed as the owner of a car for my brother, just to find out later that he got his license suspended ... Now, today I just found out that he got into an accident, he hit another car. His car got impounded and he has a court date because apparently he hasn't had a lincense for a while and a bunch of fines of sum sort....I also just discovered that there may be fines stacking up for the car being towed and held at the impound place...so im wondering if I should get the car out?? Am I the only one that can do it? How will all of this screw me over?? I want to get the car out if I can and not give it back till he has proof that he is legally able to drive. ...Thanks !
